Six Nations Rugby have confirmed that numerous records have been obliterated three rounds into the 2026 Guinness Women’s Six Nations.

This includes its overall attendance record. This season games have been hosted at Allianz Stadium, the Principality Stadium, Stade Marcel-Michelin and Scottish Gas Murrayfield.

Total attendance at this year’s Championship after just three weekends is 194,466, which betters the overall 2024 attendance of 188,128.

There has been a 136 per cent increase in attendance compared to the competition at this stage in 2025 when the attendance stood at 84,645.

In Round 1, England’s Red Roses welcomed 77,120 supporters to Allianz Stadium for their 33-12 win over Ireland and set a new Women’s Six Nations attendance record in the process.

There has also been an 11.5 per cent increase in viewership of the Women’s Six Nations. Ahead of Round 4, 9.9m people have tuned in to watch the northern hemisphere’s best go toe-to-toe.

The opening round had a record opening weekend viewership of 3.58m. France’s Round 3 clash with Ireland drew in a whopping 2.35m audience on France TV.

It is the second-highest audience for a channel across Six Nations Rugby’s core markets for the Women’s Six Nations – the record is 2.5m viewers for France’s 2024 clash with England.

This is all before the littering of national attendance records that have been set. Ireland [9,206 at Dexcom Stadium, Galway], Italy [4,787 at Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi, Parma] and Scotland [30,498 at Scottish Gas Murrayfield, Edinburgh] have all established new benchmarks for women’s rugby internationals on home soil.

With two rounds still to go there is expectation that even more records will be broken across the next fortnight.

Already 20,000 tickets have been sold for Ireland’s fixture with Scotland at the Aviva Stadium, while England’s trip to the 42,000 capacity Stade Atlantique in Bordeaux for a potential Grand Slam decider with France is expected to break the hosts’ record attendance for a Women’s Six Nations match.
