Super Rugby Fantasy round seven: Must-haves and avoids

Some valid criticism has been directed at the Super Rugby Pacific Fantasy game due to the lack of alert notifications regarding injuries, the lack of a match centre during games, and the ability to change all of your team each week.

But it is the first season of the game, and the CEO of Super Rugby Pacific, Jack Mesley, has confirmed that improvements will be made for the second season in 2026, and that they will look into making the game a better product for more experienced fantasy sports players.

Your round seven score in Super Rugby Pacific fantasy is set to have huge implications on your season, as three teams, three teams with huge fantasy relevance, are on a bye this week.

Related

The Chiefs, Blues and Fiji Drua are all not taking the field in round seven, meaning there are fewer options for each position and if you pair that with the rotation/injuries of many teams, fantasy managers will need to look outside the box this week.

As you can change all 15 of your players for each week this season, here are some moreMust havesandAvoidsfor your team in round seven of the competition.

Must-haves

Ardie Savea – Moana Pasifika – Price: $7.5m

The All Blacks star loose forward was sorely missed in round six for Moana Pasifika’s matchup against the table-topping Chiefs, where they lacked quality and effort in important facets of the game.

Savea will relish the opportunity to go against some of his All Blacks teammates down in Christchurch this weekend, where Savea will need to be busy if they have any chance of upsetting the Crusaders. Savea has been consistent in 2025, not only on the field but on the fantasy scoreboard too.

Expect Savea to be all over your TV screen on Saturday afternoon, where you will also see your team’s fantasy points go up every time Savea launches himself into battle.

Macca Springer – Crusaders – Price: $4.5m

Last time Macca Springer started a Super Rugby Pacific game on the left wing at Apollo Projects Stadium in Christchurch, he ran in five tries and a mammoth 127 fantasy points. He was 0.4% owned at the time by fantasy managers around the world, but Springer’s ownership should be over 25% this week, with teams choosing not to miss out this week.

It’s a favourable matchup for the Crusaders at home this week against Moana Pasifika, where Rob Penney’s backline will look to continue their electrifying form.

There’s also no Sevu Reece this week for the Crusaders, likely giving Springer more action on that left wing.

Carlo Tizzano – Force – Price: $4.5m

Is Carlo Tizzano ever going to stop scoring? The bruising Force loose forward has a competition leading eight tries so far this season, showcasing his clinical ability in the pick-and-go area close to the line. Pair that with his outstanding work rate and brutal strength, Tizzano has been one of the best fantasy assets this season so far.

With no Harry Wilson or Fraser McReight this week, there are fewer quality options, making Tizzano and Savea fantastic options for your team this week.

The 25-year-old will be forced to make lots of tackles against the Reds this week in Brisbane, so don’t be the one to bet against the Wallabies loose forward.

Honourable mentions: Len Ikitau (BRU), Cameron Roigard (HUR).

Avoids

Miracle Fai’ilagi – Moana Pasifika – Price: $3.5m

Look, you can’t go far wrong with a high upside, 3.5m loose forward that will play big minutes in round seven. But Fai’ilagi is very unlikely to have the same attacking output he has had in the previous two rounds. You could argue that he scored 45 against the Chiefs last weekend in Pukekohe, but that was through a high-scoring comeback in the second half, something that was completely against the run of play.

A trip down to Christchurch this week will be a tough match, and there are some safer options with a higher floor scoring than Fai’ilagi, who will need some attacking stats to get above 35 this week.

At the price, you can’t go far wrong, but in a week where risks can be taken in other positions, this is a risk you don’t need to take.

Timoci Tavatavanawai – Highlanders – Price: $7.5m

Someone who’s often been on the other side of this list finds himself on the chopping block this week, due to most teams likely having both Will Jordan and Macca Springer in their back three starting spots.

Tavatavanawai is yet to really have aBoomscore this season, scoring consistently in the 30-45 region. While that is a solid base score every week, this week out of all weeks seems like the week to go against this type of player in your back three. Pair that with his move back to midfield where tries will be harder to come from, as well as a difficult trip to Canberra to play the Brumbies, the barnstorming midfielder can be left out of your teams this week.

Macca Springer of the Crusaders was in sublime touch against the Western Force, 5 tries etc. Then Chay Fihaki played brilliantly against the Blues scoring 2 tries. Good to see them being paired on the wings with Sevu Reece being rested.

Rieko Ioane to join Leinster in bombshell move

Yeah exactly. I wanted to watch the last game because I saw the headline that Nick had done an article on it. I saw all the same flaws I had come to expect cause NZ troubles at international level. He grubbered it through with two men unmarked out wide, because he doesn’t have the passing or vision to get it to them. He through a wobbly spiral that nearly got intercepted getting to space out wide after that. Even his little pop pass for a try was uncertain and if anybody else was their would have been plucked out of the air but the defence. As it was the guy went over at close range for a try, but like you say, we know from the past that he still would have made that wrong type of passing choice (should have been a simple yet firm double pump) against better defenses. There were a bunch of other minor things too, getting bumped off, all just in the first half. Not that he didn’t do a lot of Leinster of course, I just care about what he can do in black, and well I definitely wasn’t going to get any good examples out of a onesided contest like that so gave up at about the 33/35min mark.

I was so disappointed because I really do want him to develop and be able to use all his skills. I still remember really enjoying his audacity as a young fella to try things for the All Blacks. Things that when they went wrong got him unceremoniously vilified. I suppose he was another example of a player from that error mismanaged, or impacted by mismanagement, thrust into the starting role of a All Black fullback, mostly to allow Beauden to play 10. He really wasn’t ready at all to be used full time like he was. But I still feel that if he can just get to the right size he can make carrying the ball (and defence) his best attribute, and that will make it so much easier everywhere else. On the 10, what the 13 needs to be doing, and on himself to not require anything too special with the other options of pass or kick, because he’ll give himself so much extra time if the defence is actually worried about him breaking the line.

I was shocked to find the Jordie was Nicks main example for how well they’re playing LOL!

Defensive woes won't stop Moana Pasifika from being contenders

I’m Gina Kelleher, a 42‑year‑old marketing consultant in Toronto, and I’ve always been the type to research every decision down to the smallest detail. When it came to crypto, I moved at a snail’s pace: years spent gauging trends, making tiny trades, and monitoring the market minute by minute. By December 2024, I finally felt ready. I consolidated everything, $625,000 in Bitcoin onto CBEX.cx, a platform that checked every box.

One late February morning, I tried to log in and the site had simply vanished. No maintenance notice. No downtime alert. Just… gone. Initially, I chalked it up to an outage. But as hours stretched into days, the reality hit: CBEX.cx had crashed or worse, disappeared with millions of dollars in user funds. Online forums exploded with panic, and whispers of an exit scam circulated without confirmation. I was paralyzed. I immediately contacted lawyers, filed complaints, even reached out to other exchanges, but every lead fizzled out. “Crypto’s risky,” they told me. I refused to accept that as my final answer.

Then I found Morphohack Cyber, a digital forensics team with a reputation for crypto recovery. I was wary, how many times had I heard empty promises? But Morphohack’s transparency stood out. They laid out their methods clearly and outlined realistic expectations.

Within hours, they were deep in my case: tracing transaction trails, analyzing mixer patterns, and infiltrating shadow exchanges. Three days later, the call came: they’d located every Bitcoin.

By the first week of March, my full $625,000 worth of bitcoins had been restored to my wallet.

I’m more vigilant than ever now and deeply aware of crypto’s pitfalls. But thanks to Morphohack Cyber, I’ve also learned that help exists and sometimes, hope does too. If you’re facing a similar nightmare, don’t give up. Contact Morphohack via Morphohack@cyberservices. com
