2025 John Eales Medal winner Len Ikitau has been named in a 34-man Wallabies squad for Flight Centre Series Tests against Los Pumas in Argentina, overcoming an ankle injury that ruled the centre out of both matches against the Brave Blossoms.

Ikitau didn’t feature in the first match of the Les Kiss coaching era, which was a thrilling 35-32 win over Japan in Osaka. Both Ikitau and Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii missed the Townsville Test, but the Wallabies still prevailed 56-17.

Coach Kiss has named a fairly consistent squad for the two upcoming matches in South America, with the inclusion of Ikitau and Suaalii the big talking point. Wallaby number 1000 Massimo De Lutiis has been selected, following a try-scoring debut in gold last weekend.

The squad is made up of 19 forwards and 15 backs, with lock Miles Amatosero not named due to suspension. Before the Wallabies jet off to Buenos Aires on Sunday, the squad will assemble in Sydney on Saturday.

“As coaches we’ve looked to maintain consistency in selection with the bulk of this squad having laid a solid foundation over the past few weeks, through their hard work and connection on and off the field,” Kiss said.

“Touring Argentina presents another tough challenge for us as a new group, and it’s one that we know will require us to go to another level as we continue to look to build and develop our game.”

The Wallabies have included former NRL star Zac Lomax is one of the 11 players not available for selection, along with La Rochelle lock Will Skelton and Western Force scrum-half Henry Robertson, who is yet to debut in Wallaby gold.

Flook and campbell dropped which means T Wright is the only ‘recognised’ 15 in the squad. Who goes to 15 if wright is injured or is subbed off? Suaalii, jorgo, or donno? Massimo also named ahead of Nongorr.

Some strange selection misses there. Obviously “Golden boy” Suaalii will be allowed to demonstrate he’s as crap at wing or fullback as he is at centre.
