17-Test Wallaby Darcy Swain will bring up a milestone appearance in Super Rugby this week, set to reach 100 caps when the Western Force takes on the ACT Brumbies in Canberra. It’s a fitting occasion for the Clermont-bound lock, who spent time at both Australian clubs.

Swain made 76 appearances for the Brumbies across eight seasons, before heading west ahead of the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific campaign. The second-rower has been a matchday regular ever since, making eight starts in nine appearances already this season.

The second-rower has been named in the Force run-on side once again, which features some big-name inclusions in the pack. Harry Johnson-Holmes and Vaiolini Ekuasi have been brought into the First XV for the match at GIO Stadium.

Johnson-Holmes will pack down at tighthead prop, joining Tom Robertson and Brandon Paenga-Amosa in the front row. Force captain Jeremy Williams joins Swain in the second row, rounding out the tight five.

Force vice-captain Nick Champion de Crespigny shifts back to blindside flanker, with the return of Ekuasi seeing Williams move to lock. Carlo Tizzano has been retained at openside, with Ekuasi part of a formidable loose forwards trio.

In-form halfback Henry Robertson will link up with playmaker Ben Donaldson in the halves, while Hamish Stewart and George Bridge combine in the midfield. Dylan Pietsch and Zac Lomax start on the wings once again, with Mac Grealy running out at fullback.

The Force claimed a drought-breaking win over the NSW Waratahs in Sydney last Friday, which followed victory over defending Super Rugby Pacific champions the Crusaders in Perth. With four rounds left in the regular season, they currently sit in 10th.
