The 14-player HSBC SVNS Series squad contains six players that helped Canada to a runners-up finish at the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup.

Apps is joined by Premiership Women’s Rugby topping Saracens teammates Alysha Corrigan and Gabrielle Senft, while Loughborough Loughborough Lightning’s Fancy Bermudez is also included.

There are also places for Taylor Perry and Shoshanah Seumanutafa. Exeter Chiefs’ Sabrina Poulin is the fifth player attached to a PWR club included.

Asia Hogan-Rochester (Sale Sharks) and Pamphinette Buisa (Bristol Bears) are not available after they have both signed for club teams in England.

After HSBC SVNS Series stops in Dubai and Cape Town to start the season, Canada have picked up two sixth-place finishes and are placed seventh overall in the standings.

In Singapore, Canada have been placed in Pool B with France, New Zealand and Great Britain.

Jocelyn Barrieau, Canada Women’s Sevens head coach, said: “We are really excited to welcome some familiar players back to the team. Young players are still being selected and pushing for spots on the roster but having some veterans back playing for a team and with teammates they care so much about has everyone very excited heading into Singapore and Perth.

“The leadership of Olivia Apps and Alysha Corrigan should never be underestimated. The fancy footwork of Fancy Bermudez and everything else she brings as a core member of the squad, along with Taylor Perry, who was part of the Olympic team in Paris and is coming off a very successful Rugby World Cup campaign, adds tremendous value.
