Born 9 February 1978, William Servat began playing rugby at local club Mazères Cassagne. He stayed with the club until 1999, when he made his debut for Toulouse. From here, his rise was prolific. He won the French Top 14 title in his very first season with Toulouse (this was the club’s fifth title in six years), and claimed the title once again in 2001. In total, William Servat made over 300 appearances for Toulouse between his debut and his retirement. As well as claiming the Top 14 five times, he also helped them capture three Heineken Champions Cups.
Although he was a stalwart for Toulouse, William Servat is probably best known for his career with the French national team.
