Stormers heap more URC misery on winless Ulster
Ulster are still waiting for their first win of the United Rugby Championship season as despite taking the lead against Stormers in Cape Town they slipped to a third defeat in five matches.
Yaqeen Ahmed scored 13 points as the hosts made it four successive bonus-point wins with a 33-7 victory.
Ulster, missing eight Ireland internationals, went ahead through David McCann, with fly-half Jack Murphy adding the conversion.
However, the visitors’ lack of discipline cost them as tighthead prop Keynan Knox was sin-binned for repeated infringements.
Stormers took full advantage with JD Schickerling and Paul de Villiers touching down to open up a 12-7 half-time lead.
Evan Roos’ superb solo try early in the second half paved the way for Ruhan Nel and Ahmed to extend their lead further.
