Immanuel Feyi-Waboso eyes comeback after being named in England training squad
Immanuel Feyi-Waboso will make his first appearance in an England squad since November as he closes in on his comeback from a dislocated shoulder.
Feyi-Waboso has been included in a 33-man training squad for a two-day camp at England’s Surrey base as preparations begin for the summer tour to Argentina and the United States and, before that, the upcoming match between an England XV and a France XV at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham on Saturday, June 21st.
The 22-year-old Exeter wing has yet to play in 2025 after undergoing surgery to repair an injury sustained on club duty in December, but could feature in the Chiefs’ final match of the season against Sale on May 31.
He has scored five tries in eight caps since making his debut at the start of the 2024 Six Nations, but hasn’t worn a red rose on his chest since England’s 42-37 loss to Australia in last year’s Autumn Nations Series.
Feyi-Waboso is one of three Exeter players to be named in the squad by England head coach Steve Borthwick, with veteran centre Henry Slade and the uncapped Richard Capstick also included.
The squad does not include players selected for the British & Irish Lions, nor players from Northampton Saints and Bath Rugby, who are preparing for European fixtures this weekend.
