Ronan O’Gara could raid the Gallagher PREM for Harlequins tighthead Titi Lamositele to strengthen La Rochelle’s front-row after Leicester Tigers snapped up Argentine international Joel Sclavi ahead of next season.

O’Gara has been searching all around the world for someone to replace Sclavi, 31, who is leaving the former Investec Champions Cup winners when his deal runs out at the end of the season, after struggling to command a regular place in the side.

He has been linked with a couple of South African front-rows, but has now got Samoan international Lamositele, who is also 31, in his sights, despite him only playing three games this season because of a foot injury.

The former US Eagles international, who also plays loosehead, is due to return to action next month, having last played against Gloucester at the end of November and is well known in France after playing nearly 100 games for Montpellier between 2020 and 2024.

Washington-born Lamositele, who started his career with a five-year stint at Saracens, has started 21 of 24 appearances for Quins since joining them two years ago, but could be the latest big name out of the Twickenham Stoop exit door.
