The 29-year-old represented Team GB at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, the 2023 European Games, the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and the 2022 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Cape Town.

She spent the 2018/19 season with Saracens, where she represented their second XV, before spells with London clubs Richmond, Wasps and Harlequins, and most recently Trailfinders Women.

Most recently, she played in Ultimate Sevens for Atlantic Novas, with the team finishing the three-stage competition as runners-up.

Ellie Boatman, Saracens wing, said: “I’m really excited to be returning to the club after eight years. Saracens was my first Premiership club and gave me my first opportunity, so it feels like a full-circle moment.

“I’m really excited to wear the shirt again and make some more memories with new teammates.”

Last season, as Trailfinders reached the PWR final, Boatman made eight league appearances for Barney Maddison’s West Londoners.

She also represented Great Britain Sevens in HSBC SVNS World Championship competition, as the side were ultimately relegated from the top flight of rugby sevens.

Alex Austerberry, Saracens director of rugby, said: “It is great to welcome Ellie back to Saracens after she was at the club during the 2018/19 season. Ellie has developed incredibly well in the interim period and has been incredibly successful, particularly with GB Sevens.

“Ellie always had great potential, and you can see how her game has blossomed since her U18 days at Esher, through the start of her senior career with Saracens to now. I am very excited to see Ellie’s pace and finishing capabilities back here at StoneX.

“Her experience, talent and work rate will ensure we see the very best of her in a Saracens shirt, and that is exciting for fans and coaches alike.”
