Ireland confirm Aviva Stadium return for 2027 Women's Six Nations

Ireland will host England at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium in a blockbuster Round 4 of the 2027 Guinness Women’s Six Nations.

Earlier this year, Scott Bemand’s team played their first-ever standalone fixture at the venue against Scotland and welcomed a record crowd of 31,294 to the venue. At the same Championship, the world champion Red Roses hosted Ireland at Allianz Stadium and saw a crowd of 77,120 make its way to West London.

It has also been confirmed that Ireland’s Round 2 fixture against France will be hosted at Galway’s Dexcom Stadium. Last weekend, Ireland beat Japan 31-24 at the venue and got their first win of WXV Global Series 2026.

Erin King, Ireland captain, said: “Playing at Aviva Stadium last season was an incredible and landmark experience for the group and we’re really excited to be returning to the Home of Irish Rugby in 2027.

“To have that record-breaking crowd behind us and feel the support from the moment we ran out was really special and we want to continue building that connection with our supporters and bring more people, young and old, into our Green Wave.

“We’re also looking forward to bringing international rugby back to Dexcom Stadium and Galway, where we enjoyed brilliant support in last season’s Guinness Women’s Six Nations.

“These are the occasions you want to be involved in as a player and with two big home matches against France and England coming up in 2027, there is huge motivation for us as a group to produce the occasions and performances that will inspire and excite our Green Wave.”

Ireland will start their 2027 Guinness Women’s Six Nations campaign against Scotland at Edinburgh’s Scottish Gas Murrayfield. Their Round 3 fixture against Wales will take place at Cardiff Arms Park. The venue for their Round 5 clash with Italy is yet to be confirmed.

This weekend Bemand’s team will play Japan in a non-WXV Global Series fixture in Cork. So far this Autumn the fifth-ranked team in the world have lost to the USA Women’s Eagles and beat Japan in Galway.
