François Ratier has made three changes to his pack for France’s trip to face Scotland in Edinburgh this weekend in the Women’s Six Nations.

Yllana Brosseau, Siobhan Soqeta, and Charlotte Escudero all come into the pack, with Annaëlle Deshaye named as a front-row replaccement.

Brosseau swaps in for Ambre Mwayembe, who drops to the bench after scoring France’s opening try in their win over Ireland in Clermont-Ferrand, while Soqeta replaces Kiara Zago in the second row.

The final change sees Charlotte Escudero make a first start of the championship at blindside flanker, with Axelle Berthoumieu dropping to the bench. Berthoumieu was France’s top tackler in the win over Ireland with 23.

France’s backline meanwhile remains unchanged, with Anäis Grando hoping to add to her tally of four tries so far in the championship, tied for first place with England’s Sarah Bern.

After the win over Ireland, France’s head coach François Ratier discussed his side’s slow starts in their wins so far over Italy, Wales and Ireland.

Also, we have a tendency to get under pressure quickly. When we manage to eliminate these things, gain more confidence, and live a bit more in the present, we’ll be a more balanced and much more formidable team.

“It’s a group that’s building itself through this solidarity. Right now, I see a team. When they look at each other, the players want to go to the same place together. And that’s true in training too. If I had to sum it up in one word, it would be that. We’re building a team.”
