Bath director of rugby Todd Blackadder has rubbished suggestions the club will make a move for Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones at the end of the 2017-18 season.
A report last week suggested Bath had targeted Jones, who has spent his entire career to date with the Ospreys.
However, Blackadder told the Bath Chronicle: “He’s not out of contract I don’t think, is he? He won’t be coming to Bath.”
One of the most highly rated forwards in the northern hemisphere, Jones has earned 113 caps for Wales – a tally topped only by prop Gethin Jenkins.
He has also played every Test of the last three Lions tours.
Yet Blackadder appears content with the second-row options at his disposal, adding: “All the guys we’ve got, we’re currently retaining.”
