Uncapped Munster duo make Ireland squad with Henderson update due

Ireland head coach Andy Farrell has named his 36-player squad that will prepare to take on Wales on Saturday, with uncapped Munster duo Oli Jager and Tom Ahern receiving call-ups.

Tighthead prop Jager and lock Ahern were originally two of three uncapped ‘training panellists’ in Ireland’s Guinness Six Nations squad, alongside Sam Prendergast, and both started in Munster’s 42-7 win over the Scarlets in the United Rugby Championship on Friday at Parc y Scarlets.

Ireland have also confirmed that there will be an update on Iain Henderson’s fitness later in the week after the lock picked up a foot injury in Ulster’s URC loss to the Ospreys at the weekend.
