There are places for the versatile Kendall Waudby, scrum-half Meg Davey and wing/full-back Nikita Prothero, who are all based in England and qualify for Wales.

Lynn has named eight more uncapped players in his squad. This includes Stella Orrin, Elan Jones, Kelsie Webster, Savanah Picton-Powell, Seren Singleton, Jorja Aiono and Anwen Owen, who have all impressed in the Celtic Challenge this season. Jenna de Vera is named in the squad shortly after making her return from an ACL injury for Bristol Bears.

It is the first camp since Wales invited 55 players to an alignment camp in January.

In total 24 of the players named have played for either Brython Thunder or Gwalia Lightning in Celtic Challenge. This will please the team’s head coach who, after his team’s pool stage exit at the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup, stated a desire for his players to gain regular match minutes.

Lynn said: “These are the 45 players who have impressed on the field for their clubs in the PWR, the Celtic Challenge and the alignment camp we had in January to assess fitness.

“That 55 player camp was to allow the staff to work with senior players in the national squad, the Wales U21s, players who have impressed in the Celtic Challenge and those players who have been identified as players of national interest.
“This camp will be very much rugby focussed with the players selected very much in our minds for the 2026 Guinness Women’s Six Nations campaign.

“The players know they are training and playing for the places in the national squad that will come together at the end of March to prepare for our opening Test match against Scotland at the Principality Stadium.

“We have made no secret that players need to be playing regular rugby to be selected for the national squad and the fact we have more than 24 players who have played Celtic Challenge rugby demonstrates that.”
