Sam Smith sat down for a volcano picnic with World Cup winner Rachael Burford
RugbyPass reporter Sam Smith sat down with former England international and 2014 Rugby World Cup winner Rachael Burford for a special picnic on top of a volcano to discuss Rachael’s career, the state of the women’s game, her World Cup experiences, the current criticism of England’s style and the ideal final for Rugby World Cup 2021.
Rachael Burford represented England 84 times over her career which spanned four World Cup campaigns, 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2017. After two final appearances in ’06 and ’10, Burford won the World Cup in ’14 as a member of the England’s team when they beat Canada.
