RWC 2025 final referee Hollie Davidson to take charge of 2 November Tests
Record-breaking referee Hollie Davidson has been named on the World Rugby panel of referees for the upcoming Quilter Nations Series.
Last month, Davidson made history as the first referee to officiate two Women’s Rugby World Cup finals when she took charge of the Red Roses’ win over Canada.
And now the Scottish official will take charge of two men’s Tests in November, including Wales vs New Zealand at the Principality Stadium, on 22 November.
The 33-year-old has also been assigned the match between RWC 2027 qualifiers, Portugal and Hong Kong China, which will take place in Lisbon a week earlier.
Davidson, who was recently named as World Rugby Referee of the Year, is one of the most experienced referees in the game, with more than a quarter (12) of her 46 previous Tests being men’s internationals.
New Zealand’s Ben O’Keeffe will referee the opening test of the November window with Japan vs Australia in Tokyo on 25 October, with France’s Luc Ramos taking charge of the final match with Wales vs South Africa in Cardiff on 29 November.
Ramos’s countryman, Pierre Brousset, has been handed the task of overseeing the eagerly-awaited clash in Chicago between Ireland and the All Blacks on 1 November.
