Leicester Tigers report three-year fan high as confidence returns

Buoyed by an encouraging first season in charge under Geoff Parling, Leicester’s season ticket sales for the 2026/27 campaign have topped five figures.

Just over a fortnight out from the first competitive home fixture of the season against Newcastle in the PREM Rugby Cup, the Tigers have reported their highest sales for three years. So far, Leicester have sold 10,400 season tickets, which start at £199 for adults and £50 for U18s.

Leicester won the Cup in March and reached the PREM play-offs after a strong second half to the league season, only to lose to East Midlands rivals Northampton in the semi-finals.

Supporters have clearly been impressed by the influx of new talent in both the playing and coaching groups, with Aaron Wainwright arguably the most impressive new recruit from Dragons, and will hope to go one better this year.

Saints, who went on to win their second PREM title in third years after defeating Exeter Chiefs 26-17 at Allianz Stadium, have already sold out their allocation of 9,000 season tickets – 58% of Franklin’s Gardens’ 15,153 capacity.

Meanwhile, Bath are up to their limit of 7,000 season ticket holders and have no room for any more until The Rec is redeveloped and transformed into an 18,000-capacity stadium.

At present, the ground holds 14,509 and is sold out for the majority of matches, with 2,000 supporters stuck on a season ticket waiting list, which comes with a £25 fee.

Harlequins’ sales are slightly down year-on-year, at around the 8,500 mark, which is probably reflective of last season’s disappointing campaign.

Newcastle’s increased attendances in the first year of the Red Bull ownership (up by 2,424) have been reflected in improved season ticket sales, according to the club.

But the Red Bulls and their northern rivals, Sale Sharks, have opted to keep information on the current number of season tickets sold in-house at this stage.
