The 24-year-old, who has won 51 caps for the Red Roses since her 2021 debut, is the fourth player to recommit to Dan Murphy’s club ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Alex Matthews, Emma Sing and Niamh O’Dowd have all agreed new terms to stay with The Circus, while Sisilia Tuipulotu’s summer departure for Harlequins has been confirmed.

Muir joined Gloucester Hartpury from Wasps in 2022 and has been a key figure in the team’s journey to a three-peat winning side.

While at Wasps, Muir developed a formidable reputation and played across the front-row before settling on tighthead as her core position. In 2021 she made her England debut against New Zealand’s Black Ferns.

“I feel like I’ve really found my place here,” Muir said. “This club has given me the chance to express myself on the pitch and be part of something really special off it as well.

“The group pushes each other every day, and that’s a big reason why I wanted to stay, we’ve achieved a lot together, but it definitely feels like there’s more to come.”

The 24-year-old made her 50th England appearance against Scotland in Round 2 of the 2026 Guinness Women’s Six Nations. Coming into the fallow week the Red Roses have won all three of their fixtures with bonus points and top the table.

An integral part of John Mitchell’s squad, Muir played in all six games at Rugby World Cup 2025 and started the final against Canada in front of a world record crowd at Allianz Stadium.

Coming into the Spring break Gloucester Hartpury top the PWR table with 14 try-scoring bonus point wins from their 14 outings in 2025/26.

“Maud has established herself as one of the best props in the game, and we’re delighted she’ll continue her journey with us,” Dan Murphy, Gloucester Hartpury Head of Rugby, said.

“She brings a huge amount to the squad, not just in her performances, but in her character within the environment. There’s a real hunger in her to keep improving, which is exciting for us as a club.”
