Where can you watch the WXV Global Series in 2026?

This weekend, the WXV Global Series and WXV Global Series Challenger will get underway, bringing 18 leading women’s international teams into action.

The WXV Global Series sees the world’s top 12 ranked teams – Australia, Canada, England, France, Italy, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Scotland, South Africa, USA and Wales – play each other in a home-and-away cross-regional touring model in an eight-week global window.

The first WXV Global Series Challenger event takes place at Kai Tak Sports Park, where Fiji, Hong Kong China, Netherlands, Samoa, Spain and Brazil will play three matches each.

Between now and Women’s Rugby World Cup 2029, which will be hosted in Australia, there will be 100 Test matches played. The event is being played one year after the success of Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, which saw record attendances and television viewing figures.

Qualification for Women’s Rugby World Cup 2029 is also on offer via WXV Global Series events.

Australia, England, Canada, New Zealand and France have also qualified for the tournament, with eight teams able to claim a slot at regional competitions in 2027, while the two-best ranked teams at the end of the 2027 international window will also qualify.

The final Women’s Rugby World Cup 2029 slot will be determined at the 2028 WXV Global Series Challenger event.
