72 teams have taken the field at Dilworth College in Auckland over the course of the 2025 tournament, which is in it’s tenth year of running.

In a grudge match at 11:10am on field one, the New Zealand U18’s Boys have just edged the New Zealand Cavaliers, in a tight contest, 19-15.

The first of the boys semi-finals included Warriors playmaker Chanel Harris Tavita’s younger brother, Calvin, while young Blues first-five Rico Simpson was running the waters for his two brothers, Keanu and Cruiz, who were both representing the Cavaliers.

The game went down to the wire, and the Cavaliers had the ball in hand just on their own side of halfway when the full time hooter sounded, but they couldn’t quite secure the game-winning try.

The Australia U18’s Boys were too good for Aotearoa Maori in the second semi-final, where tournament standout Treyvon Pritchard impressed for the national side.

5:40pm NZT will be the Boys Division 1 final between New Zealand and Australia, while the Girls final will be just beforehand, at 5:20pm.

On the Girls side of the draw, the New Zealand U18 Girls were too good for the Central Storm in this mornings quarter-final, taking their place in the semi-final with a 26-10 victory.

New Zealand started slow in their first game of the day, but some standout second-half performances from multiple individuals helped them book a place in the competition semi-finals.

In the other Girls quarter-finals on day three, the Australia U18’s Sevens side have been upset by the New Zealand Cavaliers, while Rugby Vault and Japan will join New Zealand and the Cavaliers in the semi-finals.

New Zealand U18’s Girls will take on Japan at 1:10pm, while the Cavaliers will play against Rugby Vault at 1:30pm.
