Once again played over six weekends, with a one-week gap between rounds three and four, the 2027 championship will get underway with a heavyweight clash between fierce rivals, Ireland and England, under Friday night lights in Dublin.

Scotland’s campaign begins as it did this year, with a match against Italy, with the game at Murrayfield being the first of two Saturday kick-offs in round one. The opening weekend will conclude with France against Wales in Paris.

Ireland are then on the road in round two, stepping into the Stadio Olympico colloseum, when they visit Rome to face Italy, while Scotland take on Wales for the Doddie Weir Cup, also on February 13th. Round two also carries one of international rugby’s most anticipated fixtures: Le Crunch. Fittingly for a fixture where there is never any love lost, England host France on Valentine’s Day.

Round three kicks off on Saturday, February 20th with Wales vs Ireland followed by England vs Italy. France are at home to Scotland the day after, on February 21st, having fought out an epic 90-point spectacle in Edinburgh last Saturday.

After a fallow week, the Six Nations returns with a first-ever Friday night clash at Murrayfield between Scotland and Ireland. Italy host France and Wales welcome England to Cardiff the following day.

‘Super Saturday’ features the traditional three consecutive matches, starting with Italy vs Wales. The Calcutta Cup will be on the line when England and Scotland do battle in the middle match, while the 15th and final game in 2027 will be between the two most successful teams in recent years, Ireland and France.

The Six Nations have confirmed that a new trophy will be presented to the winners of the 144th edition of the championship after the old one was destroyed by fire.

To win a championship or grand slam now with 6 competitive teams you MUST have a big high quality squad. This is why Italy’s rise and the coming Wales resurgence will drive up the standards within the six nations and help teams be more competitive in RWCs.
