Union Sportive Dax Rugby Landes was formed in 1904 and is based in Dax in the Landes département of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The team’s home stadium, Stade Maurice Boyau, has a capacity of 7,262.
The US Dax rugby team first became successful in the 1950s. Between then and the 1970s, they made it to the final of the French Championship on five occasions. They finished runners-up in 1956, 1961, 1963, 1966, and 1973. Alongside this, the team has also won the Challenge Yves du Manoir five times.
In recent seasons, the team has been less successful. However, since gaining promotion from the Nationale in 2022-23, they have solidified their position in the Pro D2.
The US Dax rugby team has a strong pedigree and a bright future. We can’t wait to see what else the team can achieve in the coming seasons.
