The Samoa and Cook Islands rugby league test match was marred by multiple pitch invasions at full time after security staff struggled to keep the crowd under control in Western Sydney.

Often pitch invaders try to evade security staff for as long as possible but one man at Campbeltown Sports Ground in Sydney decided to run it straight at the security guard tasked with taking him down.

The mismatch was obvious for the onlooking crowd as the larger man collided into the ground staffer, sending him cartwheeling to the ground. The man then ran off the pitch with his arm raised in celebration.

He appeared to escape back into the crowd with no further security staff around to bring him to justice.

More footage surfaced on YouTube showing multiple pitch invaders running around security staff bearing Samoa flags as the outmatched security staff chased offenders to all corners of the ground.

Some security staff seemingly gave up as the stood in the crowd with invaders merely metres away over the fence on the sidelines.
