I’d be happy with one of the form youngsters. The current 6 could be considered enough talent to take into the next WC year but if the likes of Leicester aren’t playing midfield anymore it wouldn’t be a silly idea to work on a youngster now.

Wallabies player ratings vs Japan | Flight Centre Series 2026

Bit early to call since that's what the disciplinary panel has to decide. It was unfortunate that very few angles were provided for the contact so it was difficult to judge during the game just how bad it was.

I don't think it was deliberate foul play myself but I don't get to weigh in on how the panel decides. There certainly didn't appear to be any mitigation in how the players came together so that's probably going to count against young Miles.

How did Mounga go on the weekend? I only noticed a couple of good passes, otherwise seemed very rusty.

This his game would be better suited playing in NPC and getting upto speed. Needs hard matches rather than hard training.

Wallabies player ratings vs Japan | Flight Centre Series 2026

Paisami was defensively solid but there was no real connection between him and JAS when Australia had the ball so neither was able to make consistent impact on the Japanese defence nor supply good ball to the likes of Wright, Jorgo and Potter on the fringes.

In fact, the only reason Potter stood out so much more than either Jorgo or Wright was because he went hunting for the ball rather than waiting for it to come to him, just as any good winger should do. That's why I think Jorgo needs a rest and Wright should probably be coming off the bench still as he works his way back to form.

Didn’t work for Carter at the start of the last game did it. Went straight over his head. Think we where fortunate the Stormers fell asleep on that one (would have liked Carter (and Lakai) to have fed Proctor.

'Worried': Justin Marshall flags concern for Dave Rennie after Stormers clash

Not sure there’s a need to panic yet. A lot of the layers who struggled in that game are clear dirt trackers and not part of the consideration for the test team unless there is a critical injury or three. A bit of a concern on the gap between the test team and this team in a couple of critical positions like 9, 10 and 15 though, especially at 9.

Also been mulling over this idea that theres is again a missed opportunity for the coach to involve the fans in these teams. There’s little ryhme or reason to them that enables us to be involved or even get hyped about these team namings as it seems pretty random who is whre.

Would hve liked to them to have said/used a system something like first game everyone who hasn’t been involved yet players, second game is exact shadow team, and third game is going to involve the 10 new players etc. Something that allows us to play along. Very ho hum tour so far for em.
