Bio
Emily Tuttosi currently plays as a hooker for the Canada women's rugby union team and Exeter Chiefs Women. She was first selected for the national squad in 2018 and made her first international appearance during the same year.
Born on 21 September 1995 in Canada, Tuttosi received international recognition early on in her career. In fact, it was while studying at the University of Calgary that she was chosen for the Canada U20s team - she captained the squad in 2016. Additionally, she led her university team, the Dinos, to their first three championships.
In 2018, Emily Tuttosi graduated and accomplished two other milestones: making her international debut for Canada and moving to England to join Loughborough Lightning, who she played for during the 2018-19 Premier 15s.
By 2019, Tuttosi had become known as a formidable player. She received an offer from the Exeter Chiefs and signed up for the team's inaugural season. The Chiefs have described Tuttosi as a 'crucial part' of the squad and stated that her performance has been pivotal to the team's success.
In recent years, Tuttosi has proved herself as a powerhouse of Canadian rugby. She was selected for the 2021 Rugby World Cup squad and her performances did not disappoint. Her highlights included scoring a hat-trick during Canada's opening match against Japan, as well as two tries against Italy.
