Charlotte Caslick Bio

Charlotte Caslick was born in Brisbane on 9 March 1995. She played for The Tribe at club level and made her rugby sevens debut for Australia in 2013. She’s since made more than 300 appearances for the Australian rugby sevens team and has been described as “the best women’s rugby sevens player on the planet”. She was the World Rugby Women's Sevens Player of the Year in 2016.

Added to this, with the sevens team, she’s won gold medals at the Olympic Games, the Rugby Sevens World Cup and the Commonwealth Games. When the sevens series was suspended in 2020, she briefly played for the Sydney Roosters in the NRL.

Interestingly, Caslick has also represented her country at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival and has played touch football for Australia at both age-grade and open levels.

Then, in 2025, she was chosen to represent her country in another code: rugby union. She made her debut for the Walleroos in a match against Fiji on 3 May 2025. She was then selected in her country’s Rugby World Cup squad. Sadly though, she was forced to pull out of the tournament when she failed to recover from an ankle injury that required surgery.

With her rugby union career only just beginning, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for Charlotte Caslick!
