Saracens’ teen sensation Noah Caluori and Leicester’s Gabriel Hamer-Webb, who both scored five tries in a single match in Round 13, have been included on the shortlist for the Gallagher PREM Player of the Month for April.

Both made the headlines when they touched down for five tries in a single match, falling one short of the PREM record of six, jointly held by Christian Wade and Dominic Chapman.

PREM Rugby’s top try-scorer Caluori got his nap hand of tries against Sale Sharks, while Welsh international Hamer-Webb crossed the Newcastle line on five occasions.

Bristol’s Kalaveti Ravouvou is the third winger in the select group, having scored three tries in his last two games against Gloucester and Newcastle, as he bids to become the second Bears player after Ellis Genge (December) to be given the honour.

Meanwhile, Fin Smith completes the backs’ monopoly of this month’s competition, having pulled the strings in a series of brilliant attacking displays by his club, Northampton.

The shortlist was produced by a panel of media experts and fans will now get the chance to vote for their favourite player.

Previous 2026/27 winners:

October – Edoardo Todaro (Northampton Saints)
December – Ellis Genge (Bristol Bears)
January – Billy Searle (Leicester Tigers)
March – Will Wand (Leicester Tigers)

Sale Sharks have been diabolical recently, but I thought Tom O Flaherty deserved to be on this list. The only positive to come from Sale’s campaign and managed to look good over the last month despite the results. Standing out in a shocking team is a mark of how good you are I feel.
