Zoe Elliott could potentially debut for the Wallaroos before playing in Super Rugby Women’s for the Western Force, after the 25-year-old was included in the 30-player Australia squad ahead of a Test against Fiji next month.

2026 is shaping up as a breakout year for the front-rower, who has just re-signed with the Force for the campaign ahead. With the season set to be held across five rounds in June to July, the Force kick things off away to the Fijian Drua on Saturday, June 13.

Elliott is from a powerlifting background but has spent several seasons out west, coming through the rugby pathways as a lock before moving up front. The Cottesloe product was unable to break into the Force’s matchday 23 in 2025 buy played well in the Premier Grade competition.

Interim head coach Sam Needs included Elliott, Dillyn Blackburn and Lily Bone as the uncapped forwards in the Wallaroos squad. That 30-woman group also includes 19 players who were selected for the 2025 Rugby World Cup in England, with the Wallaroos exiting in the quarters.

“She’s one of our local players that we’ve invested in over a few years and we’re thrilled to have her re-commit,” Force head coach Dylan Parson said.

“She’s had a journey, moving positionally from lock to prop. We painted a picture to her about reaching the Wallaroos and she went after it and has worked really hard to achieve that.

“To see that potentially happen in less than 18 months, it’s really positive for the hard work she’s put in but also for the program to help put her in that position.

“It’s such a tough position to learn as a front-rower but she’s done a really good job. Her ceiling is really high. The Wallaroos have seen that potential as well.

“It’s exciting to see what her next 12 months look like, both internationally and for our 2026 Super W season, where we anticipate she’ll be a key part of this team for years to come.”

Michael Leonard, Samanatha Wood and Nicole Ledington were among the first players to re-commit to the Force for the 2026 season. Grace Freeman, Brookyln Teki Joyce and Ngamihi Monk were the next re-signings announced by the Force.

Hera-Barb Malcolm Heke, Braxton Walker, Alapeta Ngauamo, Hannah Palelei and Sera Naiqama have also put pen to paper on new deals. Katalina Amosa inked a fresh deal as well, but the Wallaroos hooker suffered a season-ending ACL injury during a recent training camp.
