Waikato prop Loni Uhila was the beneficiary of a stunning pass from team mate Ratuva Tavuyara in their side’s match against Tasman on the weekend.
The game got off to a slow start last weekend between Tasman and Waikato, until the 8 minute mark.
Waikato stretched the Tasman defence from left to right and then back again, fast delivery enabled Tavuyara to find space down the right wing, casually stepping back inside to execute a jaw dropping no-look pass to Uhila.
The prop, nicknamed the ‘Tongan Bear’, then sprinted down the line to score.
The game was also notable too for the fact that Zac Guildford got his first try for the Mooloos since returning to provincial rugby.
Ultimately Waikato would go on to lose in a thrilling finish, 31-29.
