Manuwatu’s Kurt Baker, a former All Black Sevens and Maori All Black star, managed to gain roughly 80 metres – with the ball eventually bouncing out on the Bay of Plenty five metre line.

Baker was with Italian club Zebre in the Pro 12 last season, playing 519 minutes in nine games, starting seven and scoring a try. He returned to New Zealand at the end of the northern hemisphere season.
