Three conquerors of England missing as Italy hunt for historic win
Italy head coach Gonzalo Quesada has named his side to take on Wales in the final round of the Guinness Six Nations, with three changes to the starting XV that triumphed over England for the first time in Rome last week.
A back injury in the 23-18 victory over Steve Borthwick’s side has ruled tighthead prop Simone Ferrari out, prematurely ending a stellar Championship. Muhamed Hasa will wear the No.3 jersey as the Azzurri look to win three Six Nations matches for the first time in their history at the Principality Stadium. Giosuè Zilocchi will serve as back-up tighthead.
Another change in the pack will see Federico Ruzza partner Niccolò Cannone in the second-row in place of Andrea Zambonin, with back-row David Odiase joining the substitutes.
The final change to the XV comes in the backline, with another scrum-half reshuffle. This week, Alessandro Fusco will start instead of Alessandro Garbisi, with Stephen Varney a reserve.
Italy have won their previous two meetings against Wales, who are looking to snap a 15-match unbeaten run in the Six Nations.
