Spain make nine changes ahead of Ireland encounter
Spain coach Juan Gonzalez Marruecos has made wholesale changes to his starting XV for their Pool C encounter with Ireland at Franklin’s Gardens on Sunday.
Lourdes Alameda captains the side from the second row and is the only forward to retain her place from the 54-8 defeat to New Zealand in York last weekend.
She lines up alongside Elena Martinez while Gemma Silva, Marieta Roman and Eider Garcia form an all-new front row. Lia Pineiro, Ana Peralta and No.8 Valentina Perez form the back row.
Marruecos has made two personnel changes in the backs as Claudia Cano comes into the centres alongside Claudia Pena and Claudia Perez starts on the right wing.
However there is a positional switch at half-back as Zahia Perez takes the No.10 jersey and Amalia Argudo shifts to full-back.
