Scotland reveal full WXV Global Series schedule for 2026
Scottish Rugby have confirmed all five of their WXV Global Series fixtures taking place this September and October.
The side will play home matches against Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 runners-up Canada, six-time world champions All Blacks and then Australia. In October, Sione Fukofuka’s side will travel to Australia where they will play the Wallaroos twice.
Scotland have played Canada seven times since 1993. The North Americans have won six of those contests and Scotland have won once.
Fixtures against New Zealand and Australia have been rare commodities. Scotland have met the Black Ferns and Wallaroos four times each and are yet to beat the southern hemisphere teams.
Scotland’s first Test in Australia will be hosted at Accor Stadium in Sydney and will form a doubleheader with the Wallabies’ Bledisloe Cup clash with the All Blacks. A week later Scotland will conclude their WXV Global Series campaign at Canberra’s GIO Stadium.
WXV Global Series was announced at the end of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025. The competition will feature the top 18 teams in women’s rugby and provide teams with more regular fixtures against one another.
The top 12 [Australia, Canada, England, France, Italy, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Scotland, South Africa, USA and Wales] nations will compete in a home and away cross-regional touring model, which takes place across a September and October winder. Unions have retained domestic commercial rights to their home fixtures.
Teams ranked 13-18 [Fiji, Hong Kong China, the Netherlands, Samoa, Spain and Brazil] will compete in the WXV Global Series Challenger, which will be hosted at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Sports Park.
