United Rugby Championship, Champions League and EPCR Challenge Cup broadcast partner Premier Sports is to show every game of the upcoming World Rugby Junior World Championship live.

The deal comes hot on the heels of Premier Sports’ first-ever involvement in the Guinness Men’s Six Nations, when five of the 15 matches were streamed, as a further commitment to international rugby.

In tandem with RugbyPass TV, Premier Sports will showcase some of the world’s best young talent in Georgia, where the three-week long tournament will be held from 27 June to 18 July.

This year’s ‘Junior World Cup’ has been expanded to 16 teams and a total of 40 matches will be played, with South Africa starting their title defence against Uruguay on the opening day.

Richard Sweeney, CEO of Premier Sports, said: “We are delighted and proud to bring rugby fans comprehensive coverage of the Junior World Championship as the most important age-grade tournament in the global rugby calendar and an exciting glimpse into the sport’s future.

“Rugby supporters who follow the URC and EPCR with Premier Sports are passionate about the sport and increasingly interested in the players coming through the pathway system. This tournament offers a unique opportunity to watch the future of the game before many of these players become household names.

“Adding the World Rugby Junior World Championship to our schedule further enhances our rugby offering and reinforces our commitment to providing fans with access to the sport at every level, from emerging talent through to the biggest club and international competitions.”
