The England and Lions utility back has signed a new contract that keeps him at StoneX Stadium until at least the end of the 2027/28 season.

The 33-year-old had been linked with a switch to Sale Sharks, but Saracens have today confirmed that they’ve secured one of their biggest names for the next two seasons.

Daly joined the Men in Black from Wasps in 2019 and has since become a central figure in North London, making close to 100 appearances across six seasons.

Known for his versatility, the 6’1, 98kg star regularly shifting between full back, centre and wing. He played a pivotal role in the club’s 2023 PREM Rugby title win, crossing for a crucial try in the final against Sale at Twickenham.

Before his move to north London, Daly built a reputation as one of the Premiership’s most dangerous attacking players during a distinguished Wasps career that spanned nearly 200 games.

“Saracens is a club that I love and being surrounded by such a driven group every day is incredibly enjoyable.

“I believe this squad has the ability to grow, and I am very excited to be a part of it.”

On the international stage, he has earned 76 England caps and toured with the British & Irish Lions three times, starting all three Tests in New Zealand in 2017.

“Having played nearly 400 games for Saracens, Wasps, England and the British & Irish Lions, Elliot has enjoyed a remarkable career,” said outgoing Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall.

“His talent and skill are there for everyone to see, but his longevity and consistency stem from his love of the game and his competitive spirit.

“We are thrilled he is staying and believe our exciting young group of outside backs will benefit enormously from his experience and rugby IQ.”
