Former French international Djibril Camara has been summoned over ‘serious misconduct’ by Stade Francais.
It is not clear however what the alleged misconduct is.
Whatever the allegations against him, the winger is facing having his contract with the Top 14 side torn up.
Camara has had a less than perfect relationship with head coach Heyneke Meyer, and it is understood the club are eager to have taken off their books early.
Camara is a darling of Stade fans, having been with the club for 12 years, which he joined at the age of 18.
Stade Francais released the following statement on their website:
“Articles in the press and social networks on Monday, May 27 indicate that Djibril Camara was dismissed for serious misconduct.
“Stade Français Paris wants to rectify this erroneous information.
“Djibril Camara was summoned by the Management of the Club concerning a possible early termination of his contract for serious misconduct. No decision has been made so far, and only after hearing the player will a decision be made by the Club in accordance with the law.”
