France replace Parra and Dulin with Serin and Bonneval

Baptiste Serin and Hugo Bonneval have been called up to the France squad for the Six Nations opener against Ireland to replace the injured Morgan Parra and Brice Dulin.

Parra has not played for his country since October 2015 and the scrum-half’s international comeback will have to wait after he suffered a knee injury in Clermont Auvergne’s European Champions Cup win over the Ospreys on Saturday.

Head coach Jacques Brunel has drafted in playmaker Serin in the absence of the experienced Parra.

Full-back Dulin damaged his calf in Racing 92’s victory over Leicester Tigers, so Toulon’s Hugo Bonneval joins up with the squad.

Les Bleus start the tournament against Joe Schmidt’s men at Stade de France on February 3.
