Cameron Woki learns fate ahead of All Blacks series after red card
France’s Cameron Woki will be free to take on the All Blacks next month after receiving no ban following his red card against England XV on Saturday.
The Racing 92 was dismissed in the second half of France XV’s 26-24 victory at Twickenham’s Allianz Stadium for a dangerous clearout on England XV co-captain Jamie George.
However, after appearing before and independent disciplinary committee this week, it was determined that the incident did not warrant a red card, meaning the 26-year-old is free to play.
France take on the All Blacks in a three-Test series in July, but will be without the majority of their players from Toulouse and Bordeaux-Begles, who feature in the Top 14 final this weekend, with an agreement stipulating only five can play. Fabien Galthie would not have wanted to lose any more players from elsewhere.
A World Rugby statement read: “France #21, Cameron Woki, appeared before an independent disciplinary committee on 24 June, 2025 as a result of a referral by a Foul Play Review Committee having received a red card for a breach of law 9.20(a) (dangerous clearout) in England XV v France XV on Saturday 21 June in the Allianz Stadium.
“The independent Disciplinary Committee was chaired by Adam Casselden SC, joined by former international rugby player John Langford (Australia), and former international referee Valeriu Toma (Romania).
“Having reviewed the available footage and additional angles, the committee determined that the action did not warrant a red card. The committee found that there was not a high degree of danger in the action and therefore, under the head contact process, a red card should not have been issued.
“The player is therefore free to play.”
