Lifetime Ban in order for French Rugby League Thug

This deserves a life time ban. During a recent French Rugby League cup match between Saint-Esteve and Toulouse, an as yet unnamed thug knocked the referee out cold in an unprovoked and cowardly attack. The referee was left motionless before being taken to hospital. Opposition payers confronted the miscreant before he lashed out at them. Hopefully he’s sweating in a French prison cell as we speak. Either way, he won’t be lining out anytime soon.

I’m loving it mate, there were a good few 1st and 2nd picks in that team and the ABs knew what was comming, knew for a long time in fact, but still failed to counter it.

Also, people are talking about the obvious set piece and discipline issues, but completely ignoring how easily the Stormers sliced them open for the Senatla try.

The Sharks are not even a shadow of their former selves. If you’re expecting the Sharks of old with the likes of Butch James and Teichmann you are going to be seriously shocked. This is going to look like an U18 team.

Probably a good time to give inexperienced players a bit of game time in foreign conditions.

Didn’t someone say “never again” after one scrum disintegration? The coaching emphasis I believe is disproportionately centred on continuous play, perhaps to the detriment of traditional forward strengths. It’s a gamble on both the weather and refereeing styles.

The obsession with Mounga as a possible saviour is going to prove to be a mistake. He hasn’t had anything near the intensity of test match rugby for three years and SR is not anywhere near testing him. If there was any thoughts that the URC is a weaker competition than SR remember the Stormers were without eight Springboks of which at least five of them play in every URC match, and they still are not the best URC team.

BB plays like a man who is able to produce the exceptional when he chooses but the way he plays now is aimed at extending his career through reputation rather than form. He reads the game very well just won’t put his body on the line - for example letting a high ball bounce two meters ahead of him.

Ben just really does not want to see Wiese play the AB’s, Hanekom is a great player, but I think Wiese cemented his spot as nr1. Boks weren’t great, still won, we will be better off for it.

I think you’re right about the scrum half. If Roigard get’s injured there doesn’t seem to be anyone who could step in. What happened to Christie? He was a bit up and down but he heeded time to settle into his role and at that time I don’t think it was clear exactly what his role was.
