Premiership Rugby Table and Tournament Format
The Premiership Rugby season is structured into 18 rounds, with matches usually scheduled between September and June. Each club plays home and away matches against every opponent, with teams playing a total of 24 matches during the season. The top four teams then progress to the play-offs.
Each team in the Premiership receives four points for winning a match and two for a draw. There’s also two bonus points up for grabs: one bonus point to teams that lose by seven or fewer points and one for teams that score four tries or more in a single game.
