Yoram Moefana Bio

Yoram Moefana plays as a centre for Bordeaux and the French national team. He started playing rugby professionally in 2018 and represented Les Bleus for the first time in 2020.

On 18 July 2000, Yoram Moefana was born into a rugby-playing family. Both of his uncles, Tapu Falatea and Sipili Falatea, were professional rugby players. He first arrived in Metropolitan France in 2013 (after being raised on the island of Futuna in the South Pacific Ocean) and began to play in Limoges. He then joined the Colomiers Academy.

After making his professional debut with Colomiers in Pro D2 in 2018, Moefana was recruited by Top 14 club Bordeaux Bègles in the summer of 2019. He’s represented Bordeaux ever since and has now made nearly 100 appearances for the club.

Since his move to Bordeaux, Yoram Moefana has also become a force on the international stage. He made his debut for France in 2020. Two years later, he won the Six Nations Championship Grand Slam with Les Bleus. The following year, he was named in the French squad for the 2023 Rugby World Cup

Still young and with his best rugby still ahead of him, we can’t wait to see what else Yoram Moefana can achieve in the game.
