This non-capped international gives the likes of Sale Sharks full-back Joe Carpenter, Gloucester centre Seb Atkinson and Harlequins flanker Jack Kenningham the chance to catch the eye of Red Rose boss Steve Borthwick.
Borthwick is without 13 front-line players who are away with the Lions, providing an ideal opportunity for others to impress and earn a late place on the plane for the summer tour to Argentina and the USA.
The game also offers Immanuel Feyi-Waboso the chance to prove his fitness after a shoulder injury sustained while playing for Exeter Chiefs against Sale in December forced him to miss the entire second half of the season.
Lions boss Andy Farrell will no doubt be keeping half an eye on Feyi-Waboso, who was hotly tipped to make the Lions squad before his injury and could still earn a late call-up for the tour to Australia.
The Chiefs flyer and medical student has scored five tries in his eight England appearances and was nominated for World Rugby’s Breakthrough Player of the Year award after a magnificent 2024.

England boss Borthwick admitted he almost had to man-mark Feyi-Waboso himself in training, such was the winger’s eagerness to return after a setback following a delayed operation.
“Last week, when he was still coming to those very last elements of return to play, trying to keep himself out of certain things and to stop him throwing himself in, was quite a job.
I have had to almost man-mark him myself in training! He has been full of enthusiasm, full of energy. I think every England supporter will be looking forward to seeing him play,” Borthwick told BBC 5 Live.

All well and good throwing it on youtube last minute but if you don’t put that out then no one will be able to watch it. I got logged out of my app and spent the better part of an hour trying to get back in! Simply not good enough when the sport is trying to attract people that you’re actively turning off fans.
A shambles, couldl’t login, password reset took 4 attempts, then wouldn’t load. Tried to watch on Youtube but with the clock not working, no indication of the red card and rubbish commentary gave up after 10mins. If this is the level of commitment World Rugby has to showing games outside of normal broadcasts its gonna die a death.
Will World Rugby ever explain WTF went on during the (attempted) coverage of the Eng v Fra (XVs) game? I was thrown out of the coverage, tried to log back in only to be told that my Password didn’t match so I immediately applied for a Password Reset so expected an instantaneous email to get a 6 Digit Code to enable me to reset the password. Said email turned up circa 11 (eleven) hours later (03:39am). Sarcastically I still tried to use the code but it didn’t work. I asked for a new code to be emailed almost 2 hours ago & I’m still waiting for that email.
No wonder it takes 5 years to make a decision about what World Rugby should or should not do!!!!! Just poor.

I would happily pay (my licence fee) to watch a game if I knew it wouldn’t be interrupted. Don’t offer free streaming if your servers can’t handle the demand, pathetic.

Great. Only place to watch the game and it won’t work. It feels like someone is actively trying to kill the sport of rugby for all viewers.

Pathetic, advertise this game then don’t have the servers / capabilities to stream, the game to everyone. Very very bad and will not use rugby pass in the future.

“RugbyPass TV is the only place to stream live”. Would be nice if RPTV didn't keep crashing when we tried to log on. You'd think you would have prepared for this many people wanting to watch an England game that only you are showing.
