Psalm Wooching had the American dream at his fingertips, touted as a probable late-round pick, instead Psalm walked away from the possibility of money and fame to pursue his first love.

“I will be exchanging shoulder pads for short shorts and rugby boots,” said Wooching in a statement at the time.

“My first love and sport I excelled in was Rugby, and it is time for me to follow my heart.”

“My goal is to be able to represent my country while playing rugby and then on to playing in the next Olympics.”

“This has been a dream of mine for quite some time and I will do anything to accomplish it.”

“In doing so, I hope to have all your support.”

Since leaving the NFL behind he has been playing his rugby with Seattle Saracens, been on trial with Top 14 side Pau and recently scored his first international try for USA ‘A’.
