This week we’re showcasing the best of the Condor 7s, the New Zealand secondary schools national Sevens competition.
Next up, young rising star Roderick Solo of Scots College, Wellington. Solo was a weapon for Scots College – with the ability to make something out of nothing and probably one of the best right-foot steps we have seen. Solo was almost impossible to contain and scored some memorable tries which will be remembered by those in attendance for years to come – one in which he turned a Tauranga Boys College defender inside-out and scampered 50m down the sideline.
Solo’s breakthrough performances earnt selection in the Condors team of the tournament and helped Scots College reach the final where they fell to Hamilton Boys.
