Wales wing Neumann out of Women's Six Nations

Wales wing Lisa Neumann has been ruled out of the 2026 Guinness Women’s Six Nations with a hamstring injury.

The 32-year-old started against Scotland last week at Principality Stadium as Sean Lynn’s side started the Championship with a 24-19 loss.

To date she has won 53 caps for her country and has played for Premiership Women’s Rugby clubs Sale Sharks, Gloucester Hartpury and Harlequins.

In their statement the Welsh Rugby Union confirmed that Neumann’s replacement will be “announced in due course”.

This weekend in Round 2, Wales host France at Cardiff Arms Park. François Ratier’s team come to the Welsh capital fresh from a dominant 40-7 win over Italy in Grenoble that started their new head coach’s reign on a high.

After back-to-back wooden spoon finishes in the Women’s Six Nations, Wales made a good account of themselves in defeat to Scotland as Kelsey Jones, Sisilia Tuipulotu and Kate Williams all crossed the whitewash.
