USA U20 captain Spencer Huntley could potentially get the chance to wear the red, white and blue for the first time at Test level this month, with the scrum-half included in the USA Eagles squad for the final World Rugby Nations Cup phase.
Huntley got a taste of an international-level environment after being included in the USA XV squad before a match against an Argentina XV in Miami. But the uncapped prospect didn’t take the field at Inter Miami FC Stadium, but could potentially get a shot in November.
Coach Scott Lawrence has selected a 29-man playing squad for matches against soon-to-be Rugby World Cup debutants Hong Kong China in France, before rounding out the season against Romania and Georgia.

USA Eagles captain Jason Damm resumes leadership duties after missing the second USA XV match against Australia A in New Jersey. Backrower Marno Redelinghuys took on the skipper role for that match, and the South African-born Eagle has also been named in this squad.
Australian-born prop Charlie Abel returns to the Eagles environment after linking up with his new club in France’s Pro D2. Ezekiel Lindenmuth brings experience from New Zealand provincial rugby, and Cassh Maluia spent time in the NFL.
The USA went unbeaten during the first block of Nations Cup matches in July, defeating three teams who have also punched their ticket to Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027. Chris Hilsenbeck slotted a match-winner against Portugal before matches against Zimbabwe and Spain.
