Unbeaten USA Women’s Eagles ready to face the Red Roses
The USA Women’s Eagles are preparing for their toughest test yet, as head coach Jack Hanratty makes two changes to his starting XV for Friday’s WXV Global Series showdown against reigning world champions England.
The Eagles will face the Red Roses at the Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey, following a perfect record of back-to-back victories over Italy, alongside wins over Ireland and Wales in September.
Hope Rogers returns to the front row, alongside Kathryn Treder and Keia Mae Sagapolu-Senele, while Hallie Taufoou and Rachel Ehrecke are the lock partnership once more.
In the back row, co-captain Georgie Perris-Redding is joined by Hann Humphreys and Freda Tafuna as they prepare for another physical contest in their final WXV Global Series fixture.
The second change to the starting line-up sees Abigail Paton start at scrum-half, as she partners fly-half Nina Mason.
Bella Vogel and Emily Henrich continue their centre partnership, with Alev Kelter, Bulou Mataitoga and Ashley Cowsrey making up the back three.
After making her debut last week against Italy, Lauryn Carlton shifts to the bench, where she is joined by Paige Stathopoulos, Mona Tupou, co-captain Erica Jarrell-Searcy, Kapoina Bailey, Kate Zackary, Cass Bargell and Tess Hann.
