Two World Cup winners included in RPA Women's U23 Team of the Season

Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 winners Maddie Feaunati and Morwenna Talling have been named in the Rugby Players’ Association’s Under-23 Team of the Season.

After a public vote 15 players under the age of 23 have been selected for the team comprised of players from Premiership Women’s Rugby teams.

Feaunati (Exeter Chiefs) and Talling (Sale Sharks) are two of five current England Red Roses named in the team, with Mia Venner (Gloucester Hartpury), Millie David (Bristol Bears) and Haineala Lutui (Loughborough Lightning) also included in the team.

Steph Else (Gloucester Hartpury), Maisy Allen (Exeter Chiefs) and Sarah Parry (Harlequins), who have both been involved in Red Roses camps this season, are also in the squad. Fresh from a brace in Bristol Bears’ 26-21 win over Gloucester Hartpury, Reneeqa Bonner is named on the wing.

Spain captain Claudia Pena, whose contract extension at Harlequins, has been voted as the midfield parter to club mate Parry. Sale Sharks playmaker Lizzie Duffy, who has scored 56 points for her club this season, is the fly-half and Saracens’ Tori Sellors has been voted as the team’s scrum-half.

Loughborough Lightning loosehead prop Amelia Williams, Sale Sharks hooker Milly Hyndman and Leicester Tigers’ tighthead prop Nadine Vincent comprise the front-row.

All have enjoyed positive campaigns for their club and international teams this season. Allen and Feaunati have helped Exeter back to the PWR semi-finals at the first time of asking, while Mia Venner and Steph Else are spearheading Gloucester Hartpury’s charge for a fourth league title in a row.
