Two-day passes to Canada’s biggest rugby party go on sale next week
Two-day tournament passes to Canada’s biggest rugby party are set to go on sale next week at ticketmaster.ca, allowing fans to see some stars from the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup in action during the new-look HSBC SVNS Series season.
Canada Rugby shared in a press release that some silver-medallists from this year’s record-breaking Women’s World Cup “are expected to be part of the team” that will represent the home nation at SVNS Vancouver.
BC Place will host the beloved rugby sevens competition on March 7-8, which is the fifth stop of the six-tournament regular season. Hong Kong China, Valladolid and Bordeaux are the three destinations for the all-new three-leg World Championships.
Fans can expect practically non-stop, thrilling rugby action as SVNS Vancouver returns to a two-day schedule. As part of the new SVNS format, the top eight teams in women’s and men’s sevens will take the field, as New Zealand and Argentina look to defend their respective titles.
Canada have made one title decider at their home event, back in 2017 at Westhills Stadium in Langford, but fans will be optimistic going forward. The Canadians collected Olympic silver at the Paris Games and made the 15s World Cup Final at Twickenham’s Allianz Stadium last month.
“Vancouver has always been one of the most exciting stops on the SVNS series, and I am thrilled to see it coming back again in 2026,” Olympic and Rugby World Cup silver medallist Olivia Apps said in a statement.
“The energy from the crowd at BC Place is unmatched and those of us who were in Paris for the Olympics and England for the Rugby World Cup can’t wait to play in a stadium filled with friends, family and Canadian fans again.”
Two-day tournament passes will be available at Gold, Silver and Bronze General Admission levels. This provides fans with a discount off single-day ticket prices and gives them first choice of seat selection.
Tournament passes can be purchased from 10:00 am PST on Wednesday, November 5 HERE. Fans can get early access to an exclusive 24-hour pre-sale on Tuesday, November 4 at the same time if they sign up to become a Sever Insider at www.vansevens.com.
The 2025/26 SVNS Series gets underway in one month, with Dubai hosting the first stop of the season on November 29-30. Cape Town’s DHL Stadium is the sevens destination before the New Year, with Singapore and Australia hosting events early in 2026.
Vancouver and the USA will also welcome the SVNS Series, before the World Championships get underway. Hong Kong China’s event is first on April 17-19, before Valladolid on May 29-31 and finally Bordeaux on June 5-7.
HSBC SVNS 2 will be held in February-March 2026, and HSBC SVNS 3 in January 2026.
“Following a competitive process, we are delighted to confirm the locations and dates for the new-look HSBC SVNS 2026 Series, which features a three-location World Championship, adding to the excitement for fans,” World Rugby Chief Executive Alan Gilpin said when the season schedule was released.
“Moving to a two-day format has proven a hit with destinations and we are delighted with the level of engagement and enthusiasm from cities and national unions, who share our vision of advancing sevens on the world stage ahead of the LA 2028 Olympic Games.”
